Mental Health & Relationship Therapist

“One can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth. Growth must be chosen again and again; fear must be overcome again and again.” – Abraham Maslow

LeeAnne is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-S) and a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT-S), The “S” at the end of her credentials indicates that she is also an approved Supervisor by the Arkansas state board. LeeAnne has cultivated a reputation for professionalism and competency. She is definitely a seasoned therapist in our community, but here is a little bit more about her:

She graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology from Fort Hays State University (FHSU); She graduated Summa Cum Laude.  LeeAnne was a collegiate athlete at FHSU in Track & Field; LeeAnne is a NCAA All-American, 3 time academic All-American, 8 time Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Champion & awareded 14 time all-conference honors. LeeAnne also held 6 school records at one point! She is simply… super fast.

LeeAnne graduated in December 2005 with a Master of Science (MS) in Marriage and Family Therapy from JBU. Her theoretical orientation includes: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), LeeAnne reports, “I like it because it considers the whole person (their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and the interactions between all these parts and how these pieces influence our interactions with others) rather than just considering only one piece, it acknowledges our past experiences but focuses more on the present and future” She also utilizes techniques from Solution-focused Therapy & Structural Family Therapy. LeeAnne is a well respected therapist and supervisor as evident by her 13 years with Ozark Guidance school-based programs, working in a rural setting with students from Pre-K-12th grade and their families; she also has 7 years experience providing licensure supervision to help new therapists refine their skills, grow and discover who they are as a Mental Health Professional.

LeeAnne grew up between Illinois and Kansas, she moved to Arkansas for graduate school and never left.  She has 2 precious little (ages 5 & 3), She enjoys her free time by chasing after them, poking around in the kitchen (She loves baking), reading, being outside (hiking, running/walking), crafting, or watching documentaries related to American history. Some Interesting random facts about LeeAnne that we had to include is that she has played violin since the 3rd grade and she enjoys singing, she is a  lifelong Chicago Bears and Chicago White Sox fan, and she has a goal of visiting all 50 states (She has hit 31 so far)! LeeAnne is an incredibly humble human with a heart made to help and a brain designed to find a way! We are truly honored she is apart of our team.
