Shannon is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), she received her Master’s in Counseling from the University of Arkansas. Upon meeting Shannon for the first time you will immediately feel her warmth, compassion and sincerity. She will meet you where you are and then with intention she will work with you to set specific measurable goals to facilitate you feeling better as soon as possible.  Shannon works with children, teens and adults in the treatment of many mental health and relationship issues. 

Shannon believes that establishing a strong foundation within the therapeutic relationship is crucial to creating meaningful change that can improve one’s life forever. Shannon is dedicated to helping you and/or your loved one(s) persevere through life’s challenges utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Shannon is on pursuit of her certification from the Beck Institute to become one of their esteemed Certified Clinicians. 

Shannon grew up in a farming community where hard work, dedication and perseverance are a way of life, she uses those experience to work alongside her clients in a collaborative approach to help them reach their goals for therapy. She attended high school in a small town in KS, after high school she attended a community college on a volleyball scholarship. Shannon eventually transferred to Wichita State University with a full academic transfer scholarship and graduated with a degree in Social Science with a BA in Elementary Education in 1992.  Following graduation from her undergraduate program Shanon moved to Hawaii. Shannon has traveled and lived in many different places, but eighteen years ago she moved to Northwest Arkansas.

Shannon is the proud Mother of 4 children and 8 grandchildren! She finds the most joy spending time with them. She is an avid reader and therapeutic colorist. Shannon loves sports… especially tennis, golf and volleyball, as well as watching all the college sports! Northwest Arkansas has been a beautiful place for Shannon to call home because she adores being outside in all the beauty here. You will find her hiking, camping, kayaking, and fishing with her friends and family.
