Mental Health & Relationship Therapist

“There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t.” – John Green

Cat Mays, Licensed Professional Counselor, is based out of the FBCBT Rogers office as a mental health therapist. She believes that counseling can both be helpful while still being flexible and fun. She utilizes CBT because “it is so helpful as all experiences have meaning, and reframing thinking and exploring that meaning can open so many doors.” She seeks to establish warm, open, and caring therapeutic relationships in order to foster growth and understanding. Cat is passionate to serve those in the LGBTQ+ community and believes everyone deserves to be their most authentic selves.

Cat earned a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from John Brown University and has been working as a therapist since 2019.  She worked in foster care services for about 3 years before transitioning to working with adults. She seeks to serve adults, teens, and couples emphasizing work with those in the LGBTQ+ community.

Cat is working on a PhD in Social Psychology. She loves Alice in Wonderland and all books in general, and when not working she will be found spending time with her partner and their pets (2 cats and a dog).

We are honored and grateful to have Cat on our team.  Call/text (479) 339-1238 or email info@fbcbt.org to learn more and/or schedule an appointment with her.
